It’s not enough to have great graphics, a witty tagline, and an irresistible call to action, although those are all very important in your digital strategy. Taking advantage of ideal posting times helps you improve your chances of being seen by your ideal customer without paying for ads. I’ve set up a basic cheat sheet with ideal times to post, no matter what industry you’re in, what platform you’re using, or where you are in the world. Knowing your customer’s habits, and where they like to doom scroll, is an easy win.
Best Times to Post on Meta
If your ideal audience is people who identify as feminine with a median age of 40, typically in the middle-class income bracket, Meta/Facebook, now known as meta, is a great option. Consider the day to day activities of this type of customer.
7-9am they might catch a quick scroll before getting the kids ready for school, or before they sign into work.
1-3pm perhaps they finally can stop and get a quick break from work.
7-9pm the day might finally be coming to an end where we can stop looking at work screens and relax for one last peep into the digital day to day.
Best Times to Post on X
Your audience on Twitter/X has their finger on the pulse, is interested in current events and needs to get everything they need in 140 characters or less. Best times to post on average are as follows based on the United States averages.
Monday: 4 a.m., 11 a.m., and 4 p.m.
Tuesday: 9 a.m., 11 a.m., and 4. …
Wednesday: 12 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Thursday: 12 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11 a.m.
Friday: 12 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1 p.m.
Saturday: 8 p.m., 9 p.m., and 10 p.m.

Best Times to Post on Instagram
Your Instagram audience is full of dreamers looking for beauty to break up the daily monotony. Typically millennials, primarily feminine in gender. While Instagram is actually owned by Meta, you’ll find that you need a very different marketing approach here.
Typically you’ll find more volume from 10am to 2pm Monday through Friday. And with the new feed incorporating more paid posts than ever before, you’ll need to work harder to wow your audience. Or consider boosting your best content.
Best Times to Post on TikTok
Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a good dancer to use TikTok in your Social Media Strategy. On average, TikTok caters to Gen Z, but that statistic is becoming more and more saturated and multiple generations flock to the platform for it’s potential to get lots of traffic fast, based mostly on the content itself. It’s our first shot of Organic content that is high quality beating out content that just follows an algorithm.
Currently, best times to post content on TikTok are 4 p.m. on Tuesday, 8 a.m. on Friday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday, but your content should be powerful, relatable and unique or you’ll get stuck in the 200 views or less box.

Still a goldmine for B2B social strategy in 2024. Your audience here encompasses the most diverse demographics of professionals in every industry.
While you’ll want to consider the industry you’re targeting, you can typically expect to connect with your prospects on weekdays from 11-2 and Fridays from 3-5. Don’t forget to take advantage of opportunities to contribute to ongoing articles as an industry SME!
